I've said it before, and I'll say it again: literature reviews are intimidating! This is the third time for me and I am still intimidated. Lucky for me, I always have my little helper next to me. As you can see we she's on her iPad or as we like to call it blended babysitting time 😄. In all seriousness, she is so excited now that she can read the captions in her favorite game Sneaky Sasquatch.

Anyways, back to the literature review. This time around, we narrowed the research and I focused on reading achievement through the use of blended learning in kindergarten. It was a bit frustrating because there isn't a lot of research out there on the topic, but I was able to find articles and ones that were published recently too. It was nice to find current information and I hope that means more research is coming on blended learning and reading achievement.

As frustrating as it was to have limited information, the positive is that blended learning in elementary is happening and is in fact impacting reading achievement, in a good way! The research consistently discussed the need to practice using blended learning with fidelity and consistency.

The following is my literature review that examines blended learning and reading achievement.
