My time in this program has truly changed me as a learner. When I joined the program, I was so nervous and overwhelmed. Disruptive innovations in technology introduced me to innovations like blended learning, which is something we already do, yet I did not even know there was a name for it! I have had quite a few “mind-blown” moments since then. The authentic learning moments that have been established since the beginning of the program have allowed me to become a bit more confident and less overwhelmed.
When I add to my ePortfolio, I immediately share it with close friends and family. I feel so proud of my work and my ePortfolio. This was something that intimidated me, so I really deliberated which site to use. I ended up using Wix and I love adding to it and making it more mine. My best friend is constantly telling me how she wished her programs had pushed her to put all her work in an ePortfolio. This makes me feel amazed at what we have accomplished in such short time. It also makes me realize how I will continue to add to my blog well after this program is over.
Since beginning this program, I feel like it’s given me a second wind as an educator. I feel so much pressure from the daily demands as well as demands from the state of Texas. This course, my peers, the professors, the discussions, the learning, have given me that lifeline I needed. I feel like I’m learning more each day and my passion for teaching is still there.
